Shipping & Delivery Policy
Thank you for shopping at Dagda Watches. Because our inventory consists of one-of-a-kind vintage and mechanical timepieces, we take extensive measures to ensure your watch arrives safely, securely, and fully protected.
1. Order Processing & Inspection
Handling Time: All orders are processed and prepared for dispatch within 1 to 2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays).
Final Bench Check: Prior to packaging, every mechanical timepiece undergoes a final multi-point inspection and timing check to confirm proper operation and secure winding before departure.
Order Confirmation: You will receive an automated confirmation email upon checkout, followed by a separate shipment confirmation containing tracking details once your parcel is scanned with the carrier.
2. Domestic Shipping (United States)
All domestic watch shipments are dispatched with full tracking and insurance. Expedited services are available upon request (and will incur extra fees). Items over $1000 will require an adult signature upon delivery.
3. Signature & Address Requirements
Direct Adult Signature Required (when applicable): To prevent package theft and fulfill third-party insurance compliance, some deliveries require a physical signature from an adult (21+) at the destination address.
No P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers: Shipments cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or unstaffed package drop boxes. Orders placed with a P.O. Box address will be held until an eligible physical street address is verified.
Hold for Pickup Option: If you prefer not to wait for residential delivery, you may request that your package be held at an authorized local carrier customer center (e.g., UPS Customer Centre or FedEx Ship Center) for secure collection with a matching government ID.
4. Insurance
Full Value Coverage: Every timepiece parcel is independently insured for 100% of its purchase value during transit against loss, theft, or damage.
5. International Shipping & Customs
We ship to select international destinations via DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, or USPS International
Duties and Import Taxes: All international orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) unless explicitly calculated at checkout. The recipient is responsible for any import duties, value-added taxes (VAT), brokerage charges, or local customs clearance fees assessed by the destination country's customs authority.
Customs Declaration: By law, all international parcels are declared at their full purchase value with accurate commercial documentation describing the item as pre-owned horological goods. We cannot alter declared values or mark commercial goods as gifts.
Restricted Materials (CITES): Due to international wildlife protection regulations (CITES), timepieces fitted with exotic leather straps (e.g., genuine alligator, crocodile, or lizard) may be fitted with a premium calfskin strap for international transit to prevent customs seizure.
6. Delivery Issues, Damages & Claims
Transit Delays: While carrier delivery schedules are generally accurate, transit delays resulting from severe weather, customs holds, or carrier hub bottlenecks are outside our direct control. We monitor all active shipments and assist immediately if an exception occurs.
Damaged Packages: In the rare event that an exterior box arrives visibly crushed, opened, or tampered with:
Note the damage directly with the courier driver prior to signing, or refuse the parcel.
Take detailed photos of the outer box, inner packaging, and shipping label before unpacking.
